After the phone conversation with Xi Jinping, Trump's visit to Beijing is final.

Washington, November 25 – US President Donald Trump had a phone conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping. After that, he agreed to visit Beijing in April next year.

At the same time, he also invited Xi Jinping to pay a state visit to the United States next year. In the phone conversation, many important issues including trade, war in Ukraine and Taiwan were discussed between the two leaders.

The British media BBC reported this information in a report on Tuesday (November 25).

According to the media, Trump and Xi Jinping met in South Korea about a month ago. Trump and China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that in the latest phone call, they discussed various issues including trade, Russia's invasion of Ukraine, fentanyl and Taiwan.

"Our relationship with China is very strong," Trump wrote in a post on his own social media platform, Truth Social.

On the other hand, China's official news agency said that both countries agreed to maintain positive progress on the basis of equality, respect and mutual benefit.

Before this, a kind of 'truce' was reached on tariffs in the meeting of the two leaders in Busan, South Korea last October. The US then decided to halve the 20 percent tariff imposed to reduce the flow of fentanyl. However, tariffs on Chinese goods are still in place and average around 50 percent.

"Since that meeting, Sino-US relations have been moving in a generally stable and positive direction, and it has been praised by both countries and the international community," China's statement said.

At the time, the United States withdrew its threat to impose an additional 100 percent tariff on Chinese goods, and China postponed plans for new rare metal export controls.

White House press secretary Carolyn Levitt said Monday's phone call lasted about an hour and focused mainly on trade. "We are satisfied with what we are seeing from the Chinese side and they are feeling the same," he said.

Besides trade, Trump and Xi Jinping also discussed Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the Taiwan issue. President Xi Jinping Tells Trump Taiwan's "Return to China" War-The latter is crucial for China's future vision in the international system.

China is in diplomatic tension with Japan over the sovereignty of Taiwan. Besides, Japan is a close ally of the United States. Earlier this month, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi said any Chinese attack on Taiwan could force Japan to respond militarily.

However, Trump did not mention anything about Taiwan in his post about the phone call.
